is holding its annual conference in Washington, D.C.
Friday March 9 - Sunday March 11!
All law students with disabilities are encouraged to attend NALSWD's
Annual Conference at George Washington University Law School in
Washington, DC (2000 H Street, NW Washington, DC 20052). The conference
will feature panels on getting bar exam accommodations, employment
disclosure and accommodations issues, government hiring, and updates in
disability law. There will also be a bevy of lawyers with disabilities
in attendance, eager to provide advice and mentoring and to connect
students to job opportunities! We have an impressive line-up of speakers
working in the government, non-profit, and private sectors.
Friday night: Happy Hour to meet other students; Saturday all day:
panels, keynote, reception with young DC lawyers with disabilities, and
small group dinners in DC; Sunday morning: disability law crash-course,
closing speaker, and student meetings to set priorities for NALSWD going
forward.
All types and degrees of disabilities are encouraged to attend. The
NALSWD conference is a great way to meet lawyers and law students with
disabilities from all over the country that can be an incredible support
network.
